Intended from the outset as a high performance energy effect home that also needed to fit within a budget of a young couple building their first home.
This home achieved a Home Star 7 rating
The focus of this build was to create a compact and spacing saving floor plan to optimise space within the home without increasing the footprint. Choosing to keep the house small allowed the owners to put their focus into a high qualities materials, energy efficiency and therefore create a home that is very comfortable to live in and keep day to day running cost low.
The ground floor comprises of an open plan kitchen, dining and living area, plus two bedrooms and a bathroom. The laundry is located underneath the stair for space efficiency. On the mezzanine floor are located the main bedroom, a WIR and an ensuite as well as a small gallery with a bookshelf.
